To celebrate National Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Week 2023 we participated in a large variety of activities. Our Primary 7 football team took the P1-P6 classes for a Gaelic football coaching session. They planned their own lessons, and the teachers were very impressed with how organised they were. P6 and P7 also took part in a Kahoot quiz based on Ireland and let’s just say some of the teachers were as competitive as the children! We were also very fortunate to have senior Armagh goalkeeper and Killeavy player Shea Magill visit us for a question-and-answer session with our P7 children. It was super to have an insight into how dedicated you must be and the sacrifices you have to make to play for your county. Also on this week, some P6 and P7 children participated in a football blitz hosted by local school Drumintee. A great many skills were on display from many of the local South Armagh school children. Our P7 pupil, Ellen, also wrote about her experience of the Thomas Mallon Cup that had taken place the previous week. Well done to all the children who took part and a massive thank you to Cumann na mBunscol Ard Mhaca and Allianz for organising the week.
